Abstract
Objectives: To evaluate the pattern of attachment of umbilical cord in normal and preeclamptic pregnancy.
Study design: The study was observational & descriptive.
Study period: July 2007 to June 2008.
Materials and method: The study was carried out on 60 human placentas, 30 from normal pregnancies, 30 from pregnancies complicated by preeclampsia. The collected samples were divided into two groups as Group A and Group B according to absence and presence of preeclampsia respectively.
Result: There was no significant difference between two groups.
