Abstract
Objective: To see the outcome of uterus repair by exteriorization of uterus during caeasarean section.

Method: Total 168 patients were included in this study. Primary and repeat casear, emergency and elective caesarean sections were included. Uterus was repaired by exteriorization of uterus except in three cases of repeat caesarean group where exteriorization was not possible due to extensive adhesion. Hb% was 8.9 το 10.5 mg/dl. All patients recovered satisfactorily and followed up as usual.

Result: Among study group 105 (62.5%) were primary and 63 (37.5%) were repeat caesarean section, 94 (55.9%) were elective caesarean section and 74 (44.05%) were emergency caesarean section. Total time of caesarean section were 19-38 minutes (mean 26.31 min) and duration of exteriorization of uterus was 3-5.10 munites (mean 3.69 min). Average blood loss was 347.23 ml. All patients received minimum analgesia. All patients recovered satisfactorily and discharged with advice. No patient complained significant pain during follow up.

Conclusion: Uterine repair by exteriorization of uterus during caesarean section facilitates easy repair, easy identification of extension of uterine wound, requires less time and also facilities toileting of pouch of doglus for prevention of adhesion.
