Abstract
Nasal myiasis is a very rare condition. We report a case of nasal myiasis in a 60-year-old man who was admitted with epistaxis. A total of seventeen maggots were removed from both nostrils. Patient was treated conservatively with a single dose of pyrantel pamoate, application of choloform water, regular saline irrigation, and daily bedside endoscopic debridement of necrose tissue. After 4 days, the nasal myiasis resolved, and patient recovered without any residual complication. We conclude that this conservative, nonsurgical approach to management of nasal myiasis is safe and effective.
