Abstract
Objective: To record weight and length of spleen in cadavers and to correlate these findings with different age groups.
Method and Material: Eighty consecutive post mortem spleens were collected from all unclaimed dead bodies. Specimens were collected from the dead bodies within 24 hours, before the onset of putrefaction.
Result: Mean weight and length of spleen increased with age and again declines in old age.
