Abstract
Peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG) is a relatively uncommon and unusual hyperplastic connective tissue response to injury of gingival tissue. Here, we report a case of 5 years old boy presenting with a 5 months history of nodular, non-tender soft tissue mass at the mucosa of left lower jaw. This was inadequately excised without proper diagnosis, 8 months back in a local dental clinic.Histological examination of the biopsy specimen (excisional biopsy) revealed distinctive feature of peripheral giant cell granuloma. This case report emphasizes that early detection and adequate excision of any hyperplastic lesion is important to minimize potential complication.

Key Words: Peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG), Hyperplastic lesion, Soft tissue mass.
