Abstract
Gastric volvulus is an abnormal rotation of the stomach of more than 180°, creating a closed-loop obstruction that can result in incarceration and strangulation. Patient with mesenteroaxial Gastric Volvulus usually present without diaphragmatic defects and have chronic symtoms. Patient may present with abdominal pain, distension of abdomen, vomiting after feeding and haematemesis. This can rapidly progress to hypovolemic shock from loss of blood and fluids. In general, the treatment of an acute Volvulus reveals emergency surgical repair. In patient, who is not surgically fit, endoscopic reduction may be attempted.
