Abstract
The Cauda Equina Syndrome(CES) is a serious neurological condition. In this syndrome something (eg-massive disc herniation, tumor, fracture) compresses on the spinal cord and nerve roots and patient may present with low back pain, numbness or weakness in one or both legs, loss of or altered sensations in legs, buttocks, inner thighs, back of legs or feet, bladder or bowel dysfunction, sexual dysfunction that has come on suddenly. In our study, A 60-years’ old man presented with severe low back pain, weakness of both lower limbs and inability to void and defecate. Dramatic improvement resulted immediately after surgical decompression in our case.
