Abstract
The aim of the study is to assess the level of knowledge on EPI vaccine preservation among the health personnel in different Government health facilities. This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted between 1st May 2014 and 31st October 2014 and included all health personnel (HI. AHI, FPI, HA FWA, EPI Tech, CCT) of Sadar, Gulapgong and Balagong upazilla Health Complex under Sylhet district. The sample size was 120 in number selected by non provability convenient sampling technique. A semi-structured questionnaire used to collect data through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) by face to face interview. The mean age of the respondents was 55 (SD 7.8) years. Majority 73.3%) of the respondents had 41-60 years age group, 20.8% had 31-40 years age group and the rest 5.8% had 23-30 years age group. Of the respondents 58.3% were female and rest 41.7% was male Majority 95% respondents had average knowledge and only 5% had good knowledge about vaccine preservation.
